A Note About Safety
Cape Cod's thriving seal population has also attracted a growing number of great white sharks, especially around the Outer Cape. Enjoy viewing the seals from shore or licensed boats, and always follow local beach advisories and wildlife viewing guidelines. Seals are protected by federal law, and visitors should stay at least 150 feet away.
