🍎 Apple Picking Season Is Here: Fall in Love with New England

There is something magical about APPLE PICKING SEASON in Massachusetts. The air turns crisp, the leaves begin to change, cider donuts suddenly become an acceptable breakfast, and weekends are made for wandering through rows of apple trees with a bag in one hand and a warm cider in the other.

For me, apple picking is one of those traditions that reminds us why living in New England is so special.

🍏 More Than Just Apples
A trip to the orchard is rarely just about filling a bag with Macintosh, Honeycrisp, Cortland, or Gala apples. It is about the entire experience.

Pull on a cozy sweater, grab the kids, invite the grandparents, bring some friends, and make a day of it. Many Massachusetts orchards offer hayrides, farm stands, pumpkins, corn mazes, cider, homemade pies, farm animals, and—of course—those irresistible warm cider donuts.

And there is nothing quite like biting into an apple you picked directly from the tree.

🍂 Fall Weekends Are Made for Exploring
One of the wonderful things about living in MetroWest Massachusetts is how easy it is to enjoy both beautiful communities and the countryside surrounding them.

From Natick and Framingham to Marlborough, Northborough, Hudson, Sudbury and beyond, you don't have to travel far to find winding country roads, historic farms and beautiful fall scenery.

Make apple picking an adventure. Take the scenic route. Stop for lunch at a local restaurant. Visit a farm stand. Pick out your pumpkins. Bring home some cider. And definitely buy more cider donuts than you think you need.

They have a mysterious way of disappearing on the ride home.

🏡 Fall Is Also a Wonderful Time to Explore Real Estate
Apple picking season also happens to be one of my favorite times to look at homes.

Fall gives you a completely different perspective on a neighborhood. You can see the changing trees, experience the community when school is back in session and imagine what it might feel like to celebrate the holidays in a new home.

Maybe your perfect fall Saturday includes an apple orchard in the morning, an open house in the afternoon and dinner somewhere cozy that evening.

You never know when a simple weekend drive might lead you to a town—or a house—you fall in love with.

🍎 Home Is About More Than Four Walls
Real estate is certainly about bedrooms, bathrooms, square footage and location. But HOME is also about the life you create once you get there.

It's muddy boots by the back door after an afternoon at the orchard.

It's apples piled in a bowl on the kitchen counter.

It's the smell of an apple crisp baking in the oven.

It's kids debating who picked the biggest apple and adults wondering how another dozen cider donuts ended up in the car.

Those are the little moments that eventually become the memories we associate with home.

So grab your favorite sweater, find a local orchard and enjoy one of the sweetest traditions of a Massachusetts fall.

Happy Apple Picking! 🍎🍏🍂

And if your fall adventures have you thinking about a new place to call home, your next move starts with one conversation.
